Kurkalang Skilling and Learning Center (KSLC), managed by Kurkalang GrowWell, uses account, device, location, and access information to protect student learning accounts, course material, videos, reading material, and administrative functions during the public beta and later service use.
Information we may collect
- Login and account activity.
- Page visits, button clicks, and attempts to open learning resources.
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Browser, device category, operating system, screen type, language, timezone, and similar non-intrusive device signals.
- Registered learning-device identifiers issued by this site.
- Video, reading material, dashboard, faculty, and admin access attempts.
Why we collect it
- To confirm whether a user is entitled to view a course, video, note, or protected resource.
- To detect suspicious activity such as shared credentials, unusual device changes, or distant simultaneous logins.
- To protect paid learning material from casual copying and unauthorised sharing.
- To help administrators support students and manage access requests.
Cookies and device validation
We use essential cookies and local browser storage for login, security, device registration, and protected learning access. Non-essential analytics or marketing tracking should be offered only after consent where required.
Location and security logs
When a visitor or user tries to open entitlement-based pages or resources, we may log the event, approximate location, device signals, and access result whether access is allowed or denied. This helps identify credential sharing, unusually distant logins, and repeated suspicious access attempts.
Public beta regional access
During the beta period, KSLC may monitor approximate visitor location derived from IP address and may restrict access to Shillong, neighboring regions, or approved test users. Location checks are approximate and are used only for beta safety, account protection, and abuse prevention.
Your choices
You may contact the center to ask about account access, device reset, access limits, or privacy questions. Some essential security logging is required for enrolled-student access to protected learning resources.
