Meghalaya Civil Service
Plan MCS preparation around the current Meghalaya Public Service Commission notice and syllabus, then use reviewed prelims and mains papers to practise the relevant stage.
Exam overview
The Meghalaya Civil Service (MCS) examination is a specific state-service recruitment conducted by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC). It is not the name for every MPSC examination.
The 11 August 2025 government syllabus changed the MCS pattern. Older papers in this library remain useful for practice, but their format must not be mistaken for the current pattern.
Eligibility
The 2025 MCS advertisement and its corrigenda govern qualification, age, relaxation, citizenship and cut-off dates. A recognised degree has been required in recent MCS advertisements; do not assume an older age limit or relaxation applies to a new cycle.
Important: This page is an orientation for students. The recruiting authority’s current notice, corrigenda, and official portal determine eligibility.

Foundation preparation at KSLC
KSLC’s general foundation route supports the recurring core used across many recruitment examinations: quantitative aptitude and arithmetic, reasoning, English, general awareness, current affairs, timed practice, revision planning, and performance review.
Exam-specific technical subjects, local language, typing, stenography, physical fitness, medical standards, interviews, and professional papers require separate preparation where the official notice includes them.
