Exam overview

What this examination path includes.

Government recruitment is not one examination. It includes central, Meghalaya state, district, public-sector, banking, railway, police, and defence-entry pathways, each governed by its own notification.

The practical starting point is to shortlist posts by qualification and age, compare their stages and syllabus, and then build the common aptitude foundation while tracking official notices.

Eligibility

Check the exact post, year, and notification.

Posts may require Class 10, Class 12, graduation, a technical qualification, local-language ability, physical or medical standards, or relevant experience. Age limits and relaxations also differ by authority and category.

Important: This page is an orientation for students. The recruiting authority’s current notice, corrigenda, and official portal determine eligibility.

Foundation preparation at KSLC

Build the common Class B, C, and D written-exam foundation.

KSLC’s general foundation route supports the recurring core used across many recruitment examinations: quantitative aptitude and arithmetic, reasoning, English, general awareness, current affairs, timed practice, revision planning, and performance review.

Exam-specific technical subjects, local language, typing, stenography, physical fitness, medical standards, interviews, and professional papers require separate preparation where the official notice includes them.

Questions

Common questions about this examination path.

Which government exam should I prepare for first?

Start with posts for which you meet the current qualification and age rules, then compare dates, stages, syllabus, location, and career fit before choosing a primary and a compatible secondary target.

Can one foundation course support several examinations?

Yes. Arithmetic, reasoning, English, general awareness, current affairs, revision, and timed practice overlap across many Class B, C, and D written tests; specialist, language, skill, physical, and interview stages need additional preparation.

Students can use the Apply page to submit a self-enrolment application. The center reviews applications, payment details when applicable, and batch suitability before activating access.

What support does KSLC provide after enrolment?

Enrolled students can receive classroom guidance, study planning, course updates, online lessons, reading material, discussion support, and progress follow-up through the KSLC website.
